A bit about us:
We’re Raisely! We help charities raise money online. Our platform helps charities build fundraising campaigns, run donation appeals, and nurture their supporters. We make it easy to get started and scale-up, without needing technical help.
We started Raisely because charities have been underserved by technology for too long. We set out to change that, and so far we’ve helped raise over $180m.
We’re a team of 20-turning-40 as we rapidly grow our company (and impact). With your help, we’re hoping to raise $1bn in the next few years and rapidly scale out, supporting charities small and large in countries across the world.
Oh and one more thing. We walk this impact talk. We’re a proud B-corp, and purpose is baked into our constitution. We’re carbon neutral, and we’re starting our anti-racism journey to ensure we’re actively undoing centuries of systemic racism.
A bit about the role:
We’re after a Content & Marketing Writer who can take their experience and passion about the not-for-profit world and turn it into content that helps our community grow their campaigns and impact. As our first content writer, we’re looking for someone that will help us create and master our tone of voice shaping our brand’s personality as we grow all over the world.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for helping our customers (future and current) become expert digital fundraisers. You will be collaborating with Marketing, Sales and Customer Success teams to produce content for a variety of distribution channels including SEO-optimised blog articles, fundraising guides, email newsletters, web and landing page copy, case studies, webinars and more.
You’ll need to do this in a way that works internationally while also sounding human and fun. And you’ll have our support to access data and the knowledge of our diverse team to level up your content.
At the start we expect you to start producing 1-2 articles/week for our blog and collaborate with our marketing team on a website revamp. Down the track, we’ll diversify our content strategy and you’ll have the opportunity to write in a variety of formats for multiple platforms.
This is a full-time, remote role (38hrs a week) but we’re open to 4 days for the right person. Raisely is a 100% remote company.

Timezone: We’d like at least 3 hours crossover with Australian east-coast business hours (9am – 5pm AEST)
If you worked here over the past few months, you might have:
Collaborate with our marketing team to create our brand’s tone of voice and content strategy and execute it.
Written articles that SEO algorithms will rank and our community will value (i.e. it’s not boring).
Written email newsletters that are fun to read and increase the reach of our content in our community.
Reviewed our website and written improved copy for key pages in line with the strategy we’ll develop together.
Participated in our week-long virtual retreat, where you learnt how sneaky your teammates can be in Among Us!
Written and created the messaging for a key new feature launch.
Suggested, written and maybe even presented webinars with industry experts.
Developed smart copy that drives conversions on targeted landing pages.
Worked with our Customer Success team on some long form best-practice guides to be turned into blog content for our audience.
Beat your teammates in trivia while wearing an elf costume.
Produced a diverse mix of written and video content across Raisely’s channels to promote audience engagement and Raisely’s brand values.

You are familiar with the nonprofit environment and maybe even worked for a charity or nonprofit before. You understand our community because you’ve been there and done that, so you speak the same language and relate to their challenges.
You’re a content person, through and through!
You live and breathe content marketing, brand messaging, search optimisation, and web copy. You’ve written and produced a wide range of content across different mediums. You’re a great writer and content producer, and you know how to apply a brand strategy to your copy. You’re a magician with words and can turn boring subjects into captivating stories.
You are a brand champion
You’re the number 1 guardian of your brand. You know how your brand voice, personality, and brand pillars work with your day-to-day content production. You can document the guidelines, educate others and constantly iterate on them.
You love the tech world
You thrive working in tech, you are not afraid of code and can get into the tech mumbo jumbo if needed. You especially believe that non-profits are underserved by tech, and that we have a serious but exciting opportunity to help those working for a better world to engage their own supporters online.
But most importantly, you’re on the same wavelength when we talk about lead gen, content marketing, case studies, landing pages, organic search and product marketing.

- Salary – We try to pay above-average salaries anchored to similar jobs in Sydney, Australia. Depending on experience, this role pays $71,000 AUD a year (including 10% super for Australian employees) based on experience/seniority.
- Ownership – We are focussed on building Raisely as a team, so we’ll offer you the chance to be a part-owner of the company with our Employee Share Scheme.
- Healthcare – We offer a group health policy if you live in the United States, where we cover 70% of the premium.
- Technology – These are just the basics, but we’ll get you a laptop and screen when you start, plus help you set up your home office.
- Retreats – Every 6-ish months we fly you somewhere pretty for our team retreats. (Once we’re able to safely again)
- Annual Leave/Sick Leave – Each year, everyone gets 4 weeks paid leave, 11 days paid public holidays, and 10 days personal/sick leave. We offer paid parental leave once you’ve been here a year.
- Work remotely – We’re a remote-first company – live and work wherever you’re happiest. We’ll cover a co-working space if you’d like to work there.
- Flexibility – We’ll work with you to figure out hours that work with you, and we’re flexible when life gets in the way.
- Training – We’ll support you with time when you want to learn new skills or pay for conference or course tickets.
